Size Guide
Find the perfect fit in three quick measurements
Important: sizes vary between products. A "Medium" coat won't always be the same as a "Medium" harness or jumper. Always check the size chart on each product page before you order.
What you'll need
A soft tape measure (or a piece of string and a ruler), a few treats, and a dog who's standing up (the hardest part!).
1. Back length
Measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) along the spine to the base of the tail. Most important for: drying robes, coats and jumpers.
2. Chest girth
Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs. Most important for: harnesses, coats, robes and jumpers. This is usually the measurement that matters most.
3. Neck
Measure around the neck where the collar sits, leaving room for two fingers. Most important for: jumpers and bandanas.
Top tips
- Measure your dog standing up, not sitting or lying down.
- Keep the tape snug but not tight. You should be able to slip two fingers underneath.
- Between sizes? Go up one size, especially for coats and robes.
- Fluffy dogs: press the tape gently into the coat to measure the dog, not the fluff.
- Deep-chested or broad breeds (e.g. bulldogs, pugs, staffies): pick by chest first, then check the back length.
- Not sure? Email us your dog's measurements and breed at splashandsnooze@gmail.com and we'll help you choose.
